How to pass parameter and variables from workflow to mapping in Informatica BDM? Let’s see that now by going through the below example. In this mapping the source, target file name & file path are parameterized and assigned from workflow. First let’s define the parameter fields like below in the mapping level.

In the workflow, create the same set of parameter fields for source, target file name and paths. Name no need to be same as in the mapping, you can give different name for workflow parameter fields. To pass these workflow variables to mapping do the following:

Workflow -> click on mapping -> input tab -> click on mapping parameter and assign a workflow parameter or variables to mapping parameter fields. 

That’s it, When you run the workflow, Integration service will pass the parameters from workflow to mapping and can be used within the mapping.
