Job Description:

Seeking an ETL Developer to join our Data and Business Intelligence team. This role will be responsible for development of new data warehouse requirements, both enhancements and new projects.

Main areas of responsibility:

Responsible for designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting ETL packages that implement complex ETL processes.
Understand and analyze requirements and develop, deploy and configure ELT processes.
Provide direct oversight of contractor’s development of projects and enhancements to ensure common, consistent and reusable components are developed by the ETL team.
Ensure best practices and methodologies for ETL development are implemented.
Ability to effectively direct the work of others and lead a team.
Use SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014 experience to implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet requirements.
Take ownership of problems and develops sound solutions.
Skilled at identifying flat areas and providing feedback to employees for performance improvement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Expert programming knowledge and skills with 5-7 years of development experience in developing ETL applications.
Demonstrated skill and ability in the development of data warehouse applications (SQL Server).
Data warehouse development experience using best practices including the development of reconciliation and validation frameworks.
Working knowledge of Kimball design methodology.
Experience in SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 database design and development best practices.
Demonstrated skill and ability in interfacing programmatically with a variety of enterprise systems.
Advanced experience in reviewing and trouble-shooting complex issues and designs.
Experience with development in other aspects of the Microsoft BI Stack – SSAS/SSRS a plus.
Demonstrates sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are not readily defined and/or conflict with available information.
Able to fully research business situation, identify areas of concern and present solution.
Has a solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of the business environment necessary to support assigned projects.
Success working in both a team-based environment with good interpersonal skills as well as independently.
Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for action.
Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
Ability to forge strong working relationships at senior levels.
Ability to effectively negotiate with other teams to create a mutually beneficial solution
Strong data analytical skills.
