How to create source & target connections in session

How to create source & target connections in session

If you are creating a session for the first time you mght not see any connections listed in the session properties. You need to add the connections in the workflow manager in order to show the list of connections in session level.

Hope you have created a connection in SQL developer to access the same in Informatica. If no, check the previous post and create a connection for source/target which will then be used in session.

Check in the session level for any connections, I have here the target connection as ‘Oracle’, If you don’t have any you need to add a new connection.
I have several relational connections listed here, You can select any existing connection from here. If you want to add a new connection you should add that in the workflow level. You cannot add a new connection here in session.
Go to workflow Manager >> Connections >> Relational.
Select the type of connection. Here I am going to add a new Oracle database connection.
Give a new name for the connection, Give user name, password and connection string (Same as you given in SQL developer)
Now you can see your connection in the list. You can access the same in the session level.
Go back again in the session properties and see the connection. It should be listed there now.

Check the Post how to create connections in Oracle SQL developer.
